About to be single..grandma of 4 wonderful kids. I LOVE to decorate and re-decorate! Avid D-I-Y er and not afraid of power tools!
What one thing would you like to transform in your life over the next 3 years?
I would like to be financially independent.
What feng shui successes have you had (if any)? Share here....
We (my daughter and I ) Feng Shuied her bedroom and I finally got a granddaughter..and a grandson 3 years later! She had to take fertility drugs for the first pregnaancy, but the 2nd was spontaneous!

okay ...I have painted the bathroom. The ceiling is Gold and walls are creamy. Got out my nature type accessories...no dried anything..and got 2 new cotton rugs in creme and gold. I put a large pale gold vase on the floor on a black plate and surrounded it with rocks and shells. I put some silk greenery in it to make it seem taller. I also cleaned the garage. It is much better , but still has some things I would not move to new house. Then this AM I worked on the basement. I bagged and boxed up a lot of stuff to go to trash ( now to just find some willing teenager to pack it up the stairs and out!) But I discovered a bad crack and shifting of the basement wall in the front left corner of the house! This house is over 100 years old and needs a new basement, roof, siding and windows. Then it probably would not sell for what I have invested.Time to get out of here....
Hi Diana , Im glad your excited about getting started to change you're gooing to feel even better..I just you have already stimulating good CHI by de cluttering . The only Feng shui rule of thumb about Driec flowers of any kind is , well think about it, dried flowers are really dead..you wouldn't like death around you . plastic is fine or of course real flowers of pampas grass ( i never heard of this type ) but I l;ive in MA. If there is an decorative seasonal display that you love . use it for that season and the put it away.. or you can add some plastic or real items with it.. I have a Thanksgiving dried front door wreath I love, I just put some real pumpkin pieces with it..
Diane! What a lovely photo of you on that gorgeous blue wall!!!!
I unfortunately don't practice compass school feng shui. What I've tended to notice is that compass school encourages most people to think from a place of "rules" over intuition and feeling. Rules can't really ever take the place of listening to our higher selves, or God, or the Universe (or whatever word fits your perspective).
In your situation, I would want to know more... like what was the impetus to write and ask me the question... What is happening in your life that is less than all it could be? What is it that you desire to manifest into your life? That would trigger in itself a whole other set of questions... Then we would want to see what else is happening in the house, structurally as well as objects and the arrangement of them. Rarely is it stemming from where someone thinks it's coming from. And I'm finding less and less correlation to bathrooms in terms of feng shui issues, oddly enough.
Although, in your case, I do feel a massive pull from your particular bathroom... a bigger one that I instinctually normally feel from bathrooms for some reason. I would bring in lots of earth tones into the bathroom.... lots of earthy browns, tans, and perhaps some golds. A gold CEILING would be fantastic and really drawn your eye upward! Is there room to put something big and heavy there? Perhaps a huge heavy vase? Also, is there a basement under the bathroom there in the far left of your home? I would put an artificial plant in the basement right underneath the far back left of your home.. something tall and lush-looking. All those fixes feel like they will massively help this energy drain in this spot....
Is there something happening in your front yard, where the lawn meets the road? Perhaps even under the ground? Not sure what it is I'm feeling there too....
Does any of this help? Please let me know how these adjustments work out for you, ok?
